Car Insurances - Why You Need Them?

By E K Gann

You need car insurance because you are responsible for your actions behind the wheel of your car. If someone is injured because of your actions or in-actions, your car insurance policy will pay for their and your medical expenses. If someone elses vehicle is damaged, your car insurance will also pays of their repairs.

This applies also for damages to your own car or vehicle. Importantly if someone sues you as a result of an accident, your car insurance pays for the legal fees and any damages you may incurred due to injuries, damages to vehicles and other property related to the accident. If you are not insured then you got to pay for all these expenses. For these reasons most countries requires you to be insured with car insurances. When people who are involved in mishaps and accidents without car insurance are not just being careless about their own vehicle. They are essentially being careless with you and your vehicle as well.

If they do not have car insurance for your car, and cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to your car, but do not have the money to pay to cover this damage, then, even if it is proved that it is their fault, you will have to pay for the damage to your car. So, to get that straight, you would lose any "no claims bonus" because someone with no car insurance coverage has smashed into you. This is why the law states that everybody who uses a car on the road has to get at least third party insurance."Uses" is an important word here. It's not just car "owners" who have to be insured.
